The Hopeless Romantic - PaulaSHx
Ask my hubby if I'm romantic and he will say: 'Are you having a laugh?' Perhaps that's why I love big cheesy romantic scenes in movies and books. What he will tell you is that I'm a blogger, avid book reader, cinema junkie, indie movie lover and social media enthusiast. If I'm not here you can find me at my book review blog http://www.paulashx-bookreviews.com/ or over at Twitter. And just in case you are worrying about his well-being, my hubby assures me he's very happy, thank you very much. Apparently, he loves my straight forward approach. Who knew?
The Techy - Miranda
As I study film and TV production at university I love to think about the technical aspects of film. Often this is at the expense of my friends when I point out errors in the plot line or ruin an impressive action sequence by explaining exactly how the effect was achieved using software programs and other devices. When I watch film I like to think about how a vast number of people working in many different roles have contributed to the finished product. I like films from a range of genres and periods but I generally most admire films that have contributed something original to the film production industry.
The Make Up Wizz - Katryn
The Comedy Chick - Christina
Hi, I’m Christina, you’re comedy chick!
Every loves a good laugh every now and then, and these five comedies are definitely ones to get those sides splitting!
The Horror Queen - RachaelSomewhat of a movie aficionado, I spend much of my time in front of the big screen. I like most genres of film (if they have been made well that is!), and like our Techy, Miranda, it is important to me that a movie brings something original to the table. I rather like those complex, psychological coming-of-age movies like My Own Private Idaho, though I have more of a taste for the disturbing, nerve-jangling vein of cinema. Give me brutal gore, yes - give me absolute terror! But give it to me with a reason behind it, or else to me, it all falls down in the end.
